The TDI Trimix Diver program provides you with the skills and knowledge to ensure you are more than comfortable to perform dives with stage decompression up to a depth of 60m/200ft using any combination of air, nitrox, trimix (greater than 18% oxygen) and oxygen for dives requiring unrestricted decompression.
What do I need to start?
TDI Advanced Nitrox & TDI Decompression Procedures or (qualifying certification from another organization)
100 logged dives
Be 18 yrs of age
What will I do?
You will complete the TDI Trimix Diver theory with your instructor, including content on oxygen exposure tracking for technical & gas switch dives, equipment set up & configuration, physiology & decompression as well as a gas switch decompression dive planning.
All lectures completed with TDI Trimix Diver course specific slides pertaining to the theory in the TDI Trimix Diver Student Kit and materials in the Encyclopaedia of Technical and Mixed Gas Diving.
You will then move to our 5.5m indoor heated pool (or a suitable confined water site abroad) where you will demonstrate your ability to perform the skills required to safely conduct decompression, gas switch dives using a twinset and stage cylinder. This session also gives you the perfect opportunity to touch up any skills which may have become rusty since your last course.
You will complete at least four training dives with a minimum of 100 minutes run time. Using Trimix as a back gas and multiple nitrox mixes for staged decompression. You will also demonstrate your ability to carry out the skills performed in the pool at depth in open water.
What's included in the course fee?
